***MY TWO CENTS WORTH***
June has been a busy horse month even
with all the rain. I was able to get back
to riding pretty quickly. The broken
wrist really hasn't slowed me down too
much. Mercydes and I took in some lessons
with Elaine Banfield a couple times
during the month. Sheryl Feller at
Blue Bear was nice enough to let us
join them there when Elaine traveled
there which cut my trailering time in
half. I had set a goal to show at the
Dressage Winnipeg dressage show June
25 & 26. We made an appearance. Everyone
fell in love with Mercydes. We blinded
them with her
flashy browband. It was great to be
with a bunch of dressage nuts for
the weekend. Mercydes and I did
not disgrace ourselves too badly.
We were not really ready to show but
figured if we waited we might never leave
the farm. It was especially nice to
have my daughter Jackie join me last
weekend at the dressage show. It
was nice to have the roles reversed;I
used to be the show mom for her. Next
week I am headed back up the to the
Oakbank - Birds Hill area. Dressage
Winnipeg is hosting a dressage camp at
Pine Ridge Equestrian Park July
4-7. I will be volunteering and
auditing at camp. Mercydes is coming
along with me. We hope to get some
riding in while we're there. There
are some evening sessions that you
can attend; no need to be a member, all

Beginner Camp
offers one
ride per day for
ages 8-16. Campers
will learn safety
and horse handling
while grooming and

lesson, learning the
basics of steering,

day campers will
make new friends,
play games, arts and
crafts and complete
a fun, horsey
