Sue's Tack Shop Newsletter March 2011
***MY TWO CENTS WORTH***
I'm Back!! Sorry for the delay in getting the March issue published. I just returned from sunny AZ. We spent a month in Fountain Hills, north east side of the city of Phoenix . My husband Murray spent his time on the golf course. I believe he played 15 rounds in 28 days, on ten different courses. I enjoyed my time at the barn, Pinnacle West Equestrian Centre. I had arranged with my dressage coach to half lease a chestnut appendix Quarter Horse mare. Diane Boyce of Moving Forward Dressage http://www.movingforwarddressage.com/index.html was my coach for the month. I met so many nice people at the barn, they were all so welcoming to me. I had so much fun I plan to go back next year. I would love some Canadian company, and Diane can find you a mount to lease or bring down your own. This facility has room for 150 horses, only 80-85 there this winter. It features a la rge covered riding arena, at least 4 dressage rings, a jumper course, a cross country course, as well as a track around the cross country course that we used to hack. It was marvelous to ride in short sleeves!
This winter my mare Mercydes has been in training at Elaine Banfield Equine Service, south of Anola at Meadowview Ranch. http://www.elainebanfieldequine.com/about.htm. I am anxious to get up there for a visit. I really enjoy this mare, she's a very sweet horse and I feel a great connection with her. We plan to hit the dressage show ring this season. Our goals are to be solid at training level this year.
I plan on making a spring order with Weaver Leather. If there are any items you are interested in I can special order them along with my order. Check out Weaver's online catalogue http://www.ridethebrand.com/catalog.php
**SECRET DEALS** Often I get sweet offers from my equestrian suppliers that require a quick turnaround. I never know what is going to come my way. Sometimes there are monthly or weekly specials that suppliers offer or other times they are clearing out inventory. Some months there are one or two deals; some months up to 5 or 6. I pass on these hot deals to my "Secret Deals" subscribers. If you'd like to receive my "Secret Deals" you will need to subscribe. Simply click here Secret Deals. Don't forget to confirm, AWeber (publisher) will send you an email. Since you may not have had email from them before be sure to check your junk mail and mark it as safe as it may end up in there.
