EDITORIAL CONTENT (MY TWO CENTS WORTH)
January showed us that
winter in Manitoba can be balmy but also
frigid. I ran away for a week's holiday
in the middle of the month. We left when
the temperature was -3 C and returned to
full blizzard conditions and -16 C. The
week away on the island of Kauai, Hawaii
was rejuvenating. Murray had the
opportunity to golf at the beautiful
Princeville golf course, the top ranked
course in Hawaii. I took the opportunity
to go on a private trail ride to
experience the great island scenery by
horse back. I rode a trusty sorrel
Quarter Horse that was quite responsive.
He was anxious to trot or canter when
given the opportunity. I posted a
picture on the Newsletter page of the
website if you want to check it out
http://www.mordenhomehardware.ca/SuesTackShop/Newsletter/data.html. February
I have no horse plans. It will be a
month to get back into physical shape to
get back in the saddle. I have not been
riding since the last week of November.
Yesterday I made the mistake of watching
a video of Mercydes and me that was
taken in November. Now I am just aching
to be riding her. I haven't had a bad
ride yet on this wonderful mare. I have
high hopes as we build our partnership
in 2010.
We are busy doing some remerchandising
in the hardware store this month. If you
are a tack store customer don't have a
heart attack when you find the tack
department replaced by barbeques. Sue's
Tack Shop new home is in the south west
corner where the rental department was.
What's new for the hardware store is a
department called Home Expressions. It
will give us a chance to showcase some
higher end housewares and home giftware
items. That project is waiting for new
display fixtures. I am hoping to have it
completed by the end of March.

VITA
STRESS PROFESSIONAL FARRIER’S CHOICE:
Does your horse have cracked, dry hoof,
diseased hoof, throwing shoes, soft,
spongy hoof, brittle hooves, soft or
weak pads, injured hoof? Farrier’s
Choice can correct all of these
problems. As with a broken fingernail,
the only way to fix a bad hoof is to let
it grow a new one. We can apply a
bonding to strengthen the exterior of
the hoof while the new hoof grows, but
this will not cure the problem. Healing
has to be done from the inside. Protein,
not Biotin, is the primary constituent
of the structural, and protective
tissues of the hoof. The role of Biotin
is to help break down the protein (amino
acids) for faster action. This is why we
have mega doses of protein with a few
milligrams of Biotin in Hoof Health. The
faster the amino acids work, the quicker
the hoof heals. Contains D-biotin,
vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and
amino acids. Pellets. 5.4 kg-Retail
